BMPS 2026 Sets New BGMI Viewership Record with 729K Peak Concurrent Viewers

Viewership Metrics and Airtime Efficiency

Data shows the 729,000 peak concurrent viewer figure improves on the previous record of 577,685 set during the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2026 in March by 26.1%. It also surpasses the July 2021 Launch Party record of 537,849 peak viewers, which relied heavily on content creator participation rather than pure competitive stakes.

In terms of broadcast efficiency, BMPS 2026 accumulated over 12.7 million Hours Watched across approximately 60 hours of airtime. This ranks second in total watch time behind the iQOO BGIS 2021, which required over 200 hours of airtime—more than triple the duration of BMPS 2026—to achieve its higher total. Offline metrics also registered strong engagement, with the Jaipur venue recording over 12,000 physical attendees across the three-day Grand Finals.

Competitive Performance and PMWC Qualification

The tournament standings shifted dramatically over the three-day finals. Divine Gaming led the first two days, dominating Day 1 with 85 points and two Chicken Dinners, but struggled in their final six games to finish second with 152 points. GodLike Esports, who sat in last place after the opening day, overturned a 40-point deficit on the final day to finish first with 162 points, securing the 1 crore INR top prize from the 4 crore INR total prize pool.

Victores Sumus secured third place, followed by Gods Reign in fourth and Team Apex Gaming in fifth. In contrast, BGIS 2026 standout performers Genesis and Team Soul finished 12th and 13th respectively, while Revenant XSpark and Myth occupied the bottom two spots. The final standings dictate international representation: tournament winners GodLike Esports and KIE points leaders Orangutan have secured slots for the PUBG Mobile World Cup (PMWC) 2026 in Paris this August.

Verdict: Invest or Skip

Based on the price-to-performance ratio of the competing rosters, GodLike Esports represents a high-value asset for international competition, demonstrating elite mental resilience by recovering from 16th to 1st. Conversely, the high-profile rosters of Team Soul and Revenant XSpark delivered sub-optimal performance metrics relative to their projected value, making them clear candidates for roster optimization before the next competitive cycle. For sponsors, the 26.1% growth in peak viewership confirms that BGMI esports remains a highly viable investment platform with measurable audience retention.
